Sodium Gluconate

Airedale Chemical Sodium Gluconate is the sodium salt of Gluconic Acid produced by the fermentation of Glucose. It holds a molecular formula of NaC6H11O7 and is primarily used as a chelating agent. Sodium Gluconate has good sequestering properties; it is stable under extreme conditions of temperature (< 90°C) and alkalinity.

A non-hazardous white/yellow crystalline powder based chemical with no distinguishing odour.

Applications

Detergent & Cleaning

Included in Detergents formulations as well as the cleaning of equipment

Metal Processing

Treatment of metallic surfaces, metal degreasing, aluminium etching

Effective sequestrant for: calcium, magnesium, iron, aluminium, copper and manganese in strongly alkaline conditions.

Building & Construction

Concrete and plaster admixtures as both retardant and plasticizer

Assists with the removal of concrete deposits

Textile

Textile industry - cleaning and degreasing of fibres
