Nitric Acid

Airedale Chemical Nitric Acid has the formula HNO3 and is primarily used in the production of fertilizers. It is the primary reagent used for Nitration.

Nitric acid can be used to create different compounds which have varying levels of stability, in some cases nitric acid compounds are developed to be used in munitions and controlled demolitions and more stable solutions are used as pigments within inks and dyes.

Nitric Acid (Aqua Fortis) is a clear, colourless liquid solution with a boiling point of 83°C and a strong acrid odour. A strong acid and powerful oxidising agent, when left idol the solution can develop a yellowish cast.

Airedale Chemical are a leading supplier of chemicals to businesses across the UK, Ireland and the EU and with our own dedicated distribution fleet they can be relied upon to be your trusted nitric acid supplier.

We deliver Nitric acid in 25L, 200L and 1000L IBC’s on a regular basis so our experts in house can provide you with advice on how Airedale Chemical can be your solutions partner.
