Airedale Chemical Ferrous Sulphate solution holds the formula FeSO4 and is generally used within the medical industry to treat Iron deficiency as well as a selection of industrial applications.

As well as being used within the food industry thanks to it’s iron increasing qualities, Ferrous Sulphate has many other uses, making it a popular solution in a number of other industries.

Airedale Chemical’s Ferrous Sulphate solution is a pale green/blue coloured liquid and has a boiling point of 105 – 110°C

Used to stain concrete and some limestone’s and sandstones a yellows rust colour

Dairy & Farming

Used in the horticulture industry to combine with soil to create stores that can last for years

Food & Beverage

Nutritional supplement – used to fortify foods, increasing the iron levels within them so that those suffering from anemia aren’t as affected by the condition.

Metal Processing

A gold refining chemical to precipitate metallic gold from auric chloride solutions

Paints & Coatings

Colorant – used in the manufacture of inks

Water Treatment

Sometimes added to the cooling water flowing through the brass tubes a turbine condenser.
