Airedale Chemical Ferrous Chloride holds the formula FeCl2 and is commonly used as a reducing flocculating agent in wastewater treatment. It is the precursor to Hydrated Iron (III) oxides that are magnetic pigments. Airedale Chemical Ferrous Chloride is employed as a reducing agent in many organic synthesis reactions.

Unlike its relative chemicals ferrous sulphate and ferric chloride, Ferrous chloride as a number of niche applications, the most common being the treatment of water that contains chromate.
