Late Chairman & Founder Mr Brian Chadwick begins producing his own range of dye stuff solutions. Over the following years Airedale Chemical gradually expands, extending its product range whilst servicing the textile industry.

1973

Business founded by Brian Chadwick, operating as a dye trader

1985

Experienced significant growth into the Bradford textile market

1994

Relocate to new Cross Hills site in North Yorkshire

1997

Began trading in Hydrogen Peroxide – The companies first chemical

2000

First chemical reactor purchased reacting Formaldehyde

2005

Richard Chadwick appointed as 2nd Generation MD

2008

Phosphoric Acid distribution deal announced

2010

Circa £1M investment to Cross Hills plant

2015

Ingredients distributor Rigest Trading Ltd purchased

2016

Chris Chadwick appointed as 3rd Generation MD

2017

Submits Peracetic Acid dossier as only UK manufacturer - £2M investment

2019

NPD strategy begins – growth into new value added products
